NFM – Not just natural gas marketing: NFM benefits from years of experience in the broader energy marketplace, not just in the Natural Gas segment. Beginning in 2007, NFM has begun offering energy project assistance to selected clients as a way to build on its network of industry relationships and experience in closing mutually beneficial energy transactions. NFM is presently providing marketing and sales support to renewable energy projects in the US. The Windy Point Project in Washington State is among the projects NFM is active on. NFM plans in 2008 to expand its renewable energy project activities and is also closely monitoring the air emission (including CO2) trading markets, with an eye to expansion in those areas. Windy Point Project Description: The 450 megawatt ("MW") Windy Point wind generation project (the "Project") is located in Klickitat County, Washington. The Project is in the Goldendale, Washington area, located on approximately 25 (lineal) miles of ridgeline property overlooking the Columbia River on the border between Washington and Oregon. The Project is Owned by the Windy Point Partners, LLC of which, Cannon Power Corp is the majority owner. Cannon Power Corporation is an active and successful wind project developer, that since 1979 has successfully developed approximately 30 wind power projects totaling in excess of 1,400MWs. Windy Point Partners has contracted with the Summit Power Group, Inc. for assistance with wind turbine generator equipment acquisition, project development and marketing of project output. Summit Power Group has in turn contracted with NFM for marketing and purchase contract negotiation support in order to take advantage of NFM’s wide ranging industry contacts, experience, and successful track record. NFM's Role in Windy Point Project: NFM personnel act as marketing agent for the Project. This includes marketing of the project as well as sale of Project output to targeted buyers. In addition, assistance is provided with regard to negotiation of long term power purchase agreements or power asset purchase agreements as necessary. NFM draws on its network of industry contacts, its market knowledge and its in depth experience with energy contracts as it successfully fills this role. The first "anchor" transaction which has been announced by the Windy Point Project involves purchase of a substantial portion of the Project assets and output by the Turlock, CA Irrigation District, and CitiGroup Global Markets. Press Release.
